Agricultural Interest

After graduating from high school, I considered many occupations. An inherent motivating factor for me is that my work must benefit others. This motivation, along with my love for nature, led to me become an organic farm laborer and, eventually, a farm manager of Goshen Green Farm in Goshen, New York. Like many biologists before me, I found agriculture immensely intellectually stimulating, and observing the process of plant domestication firsthand was a major inspiration for me to pursue science as a career.
